CODE.org Gets Kids Coding

January 20, 2016
By Jarrod Whaley

CODE.org is a great resource for both children and teachers who are interested in learning how to write code. Their code studio is full of computer science courses that are perfect for elementary-school-aged kids, featuring characters and fictional worlds that kids already love (Star Wars, Frozen, etc.). Kids sit down for about an hour and feel as though they're playing a game, all while learning the fundamentals of logic and programming.

Teachers: don't miss their Resources for Educators page, where you can find a number of great information about professional development opportunities, partnerships between CODE.org and your school district, and much more.
