Girls In Tech at the Tech Museum

March 29, 2016
By Jarrod Whaley

Girls and women have been historically underrepresented in STEM fields, and though there are some small indications of progress in this regard, it's clear that we as a society still have a long way to go. We at Sparkfactor.org want to bring STEM opportunities to humans of all persuasions, and so for that reason we are very excited to offer our support to the Tech Museum of Innovation and their promising "Girls in Tech program.

Program participants--and their families--will take part in some really cool educational opportunities, such as learning to code and building robots. The events will be guided by accomplished women with STEM backgrounds, thereby providing role models to young women interested in perusing a technical career.

Please visit The Tech's Web page which covers the program. If you and your child end up attending, don't forget to tell them we sent you.
