Free Code Camp: Learn to Code While Helping Nonprofits

Free Code Camp is an online learning community in which participants learn how to code while helping nonprofits at the same time. Through a series of targeted challenges, "campers" learn how to build Web server back-end infrastructure, front-end interfaces, database layers, and more. Once challenges have been completed, participants can use their new skills to help build real, production Web sites for nonprofits and thus gain valuable working experience for their résumés.

Exercism.io Creates Coders, Not Just Code

There has been a proliferation of online programs aimed at teaching n00bz how to code in recent years. Codecademy and Code School are two examples, and we heartily recommend them to anyone interested in learning how to begin bossing computers around.
